Some big news this week comes out of Venezuela. Reports from anonymous sources suggest the country’s state owned oil company is looking to make payments using Bitcoin and/or Ethereum.

Crypto-Twitter responded.

As the Venezuelan government continues to have issues, the US is also facing a little upheaval. Pro-cryptocurrency presidential candidate Andrew Yang is pushing for Universal Basic Income. But is it a good idea?

While on the topic of government shenanigans Edward Snowden released his new book, Permanent Record. It turns out the US government are not too happy about it and want a cut of those profits. Shitcoin.com favourite Paul Sztorc (catch his episode of A Game of Shitcoins here) gave a little commentary.
